The Sevana PCAP analyzer parses RTP streams recorded in PCAP files automatically, with no need for Wireshark. You feed it a capture, and it returns the network metrics, the audio quality, and the impairments that affect what a caller hears. Because it decodes the SIP signalling too, it identifies the calls, reads the codecs, and correlates each SIP session with its RTP streams for a complete picture.

What the PCAP analyzer reports

Network metrics from the capture

For every stream it derives an E-model MOS together with jitter, latency and packet loss, so you see the transport quality straight away.

Perceptual audio quality

Moreover, PVQA scores the decoded audio and reports the impairments that degrade the listening experience, not just the packet statistics.

SIP signalling and correlation

Because it parses the SIP signalling, the analyzer identifies calls automatically, extracts codec information, and links each session to its RTP streams.

Reports and exports

In addition, it writes JSON or plain-text reports and can export the decoded audio to WAV, which makes batch troubleshooting straightforward.

Key features

Supported codecs:

G.711G.729iLBCOpusAMR / AMR-WBGSM-EFREVS

Output

The JSON reports cover packet statistics, SIP call states, per-stream quality metrics and time-segmented impairment analysis, so you can trace a problem to the exact moment it occurred. Contact us for more information and an online demo.
